The shooting training was carried out within Vostok 2022 at an area preliminarily closed for civilian waterborne transit in the Sea of Japan.
According to the rules of the stage, radars of the Pacific Fleet's and Chinese Navy's ships promptly detected and tracked two groups of air targets. Servicemen put in operation electronic countermeasures means, as well as produced active and passive interference. While the targets were approaching to the fire line, the ship crews from both countries involved air defence artillery.
Another episode supposed to destroy a simulated seaborne mine by low-calibre rapid-firing artillery. The surface target was fired by the ships that were moving within the wake's order.
At the same day, naval aviation from both countries carried out their exercise. Shipborne helicopters of the Pacific Fleet and the Navy of the People's Liberation Army of China were improving their skills in organising taking off from their carrier ships and landing to them, as well as preparing for landing with hovering over the deck of the partner country's ship.
