China Navy's destroyer Nanning participates in Pakistanese exercise AMAN 23.

Some 50 countries are participating in the AMAN-23 exercise with ships, aircraft, special operations forces, and a large number of observers, with China sending the guided missile destroyer Nanning, together with a vessel-borne helicopter and dozens of marines.

The Type 052D destroyer is a class of guided-missile destroyers that are in service with the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.
With a displacement of 7,500 tons and a length ranging from 156 meters to 161 meters, this guided-missile destroyer is equipped with advanced sensors and weapons that allow it to perform a wide range of missions, including air defense, anti-submarine warfare, and escort operations.
The destroyer is powered by a CODOG propulsion system that consists of two gas turbines and two diesel engines, which give it a top speed of 30 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles.
The Type 052D destroyer is equipped with a number of advanced sensors and processing systems, including the Type 346A multifunction 3D AESA radar, Type 518 air search radar, Type 364 altitude and surface search radar, and Type 366 surface search and anti-ship fire control radar.
She also features a number of electronic warfare and decoy systems, as well as a 130mm gun, a short-range SAM system, and a 64-cell VLS for launching missiles. In addition, the Type 052D destroyer also has aviation facilities, including a helicopter hangar and landing pad, which allow it to carry a helicopter.
