Mark VI patrol boat
The Mark VI is a Navy patrol boat that has a length of 84.8 m (25.8 m), a beam of 20.5 ft (6.2 m), a draft of 4 ft ( 1.2 m), and a displacement of 144,000 lb ( 72 tons).
She has a crew of 10 sailors and can accommodate an additional 8 personnel. The interior is spacious and features shock-absorbing seats and sound-deadening berthing spaces to minimize crew fatigue and injury during high sea states.
The vessel is fully networked with a command, control, communication and computing, surveillance, and intelligence (C4SI) suite, including flat-screen monitors mounted throughout the ship for enhanced situational awareness, survivability, and multi-mission support.
Standard armament includes two remote-controlled Mk 38 Mod 2 25 mm chain guns and six crewed M2 .50 caliber machine guns, with the ability to be fitted with M240 machine guns, M134 miniguns, and Mk 19 grenade launchers depending on mission requirements.
The Mark VI is also equipped with the MK50 Gun Weapon System (GWS) and advanced lightweight armor plating for protection. She has a maximum speed of 35 knots (40 mph; 65 km/h) and a range of 600 nautical miles (690 mi; 1,100 km) due to its two MTU 16V2000M94 diesel engines connected to water jets.
