The Sonobot 5, developed by EvoLogics, stands out as an advanced unmanned surface vehicle (USV) tailored for hydrographic surveys, environmental monitoring, and search and rescue missions.

This USV integrates high-precision measurement tools such as single-beam and multibeam echosounders, along with side-scan sonar systems, which can be customized to meet specific operational needs. It also includes a high-grade dual GNSS and INS positioning system for accurate navigation and an HD camera for comprehensive data recording and navigation support.

The design of the Sonobot 5 emphasizes flexibility and ease of use. It features powerful thrusters and a battery capacity that supports a full working day, ensuring excellent maneuverability and rapid deployment. The system is supported by specialized software for planning, execution, and evaluation of surveys, and communicates over a redundant mesh network, allowing operations to continue with or without a WLAN station.

Durability and robustness are key attributes of the Sonobot 5. Constructed from seawater-resistant materials such as basalt laminate and stainless steel, it is designed to withstand harsh marine environments and is suitable for operations in industrial waste waters.

Comments

The Sonobot 5's ability to perform high-precision underwater reconnaissance is crucial for mine detection and clearance operations. In conflict zones, naval mines pose a significant threat to both military and civilian vessels. The Sonobot 5's multibeam sonar and side-scan sonar can accurately map and identify underwater mines.

Secondly, these USVs enhance situational awareness and intelligence-gathering capabilities. The high-definition cameras and real-time data transmission enable continuous monitoring of underwater and surface activities. This real-time intelligence is vital for detecting and tracking enemy submarines, divers, and other underwater threats.
