The K3 SCOUT Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV), developed by Kraken Technology Group, is an autonomous platform designed for a range of applications, including commercial, humanitarian, and military uses.

This USV features a modular payload bay capable of carrying up to 600 kg, allowing it to be easily reconfigured for various missions such as logistics, search and rescue, survey, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), and strike operations.

The K3 SCOUT is equipped with a high-performance diesel powertrain that provides a top speed of 55 knots and a range of 650 nautical miles. Its twin-stepped hull design enhances seakeeping and efficiency, while its low-signature design helps reduce detectability. The vessel operates autonomously but can also be optionally crewed.

One of the notable capabilities of the K3 SCOUT is its integration with BlueHalo’s AI and machine learning (AI/ML) backed autonomous mission systems.

This integration supports advanced functionalities such as multi-vessel swarming, situational awareness, and hybrid maritime-land operations. Additionally, the K3 SCOUT can be air-deployed using Capewell’s Universal Maritime Craft Aerial Delivery System (UMCADS), which allows it to be parachuted into operational areas.
