On November 10, 2017, the press service of the Rwandan president Paul Kagame has released a picture showing the use of RM-70 122 MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) manufactured in Czech Republic and the Chinese-made PLZ-89 122mm tracked self-propelled howitzers used by the armed forces of Rwanda during a live firing military exercise.

Russia is implementing a contract for the supplies of T-90S main battle tanks (MBTs) to Iraq, the press office of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation (FSVTS) told TASS at Dubai Airshow 2017. The T-90S is the export version of the T-90 MBT. The first prototype of the T-90 was produced in 1989 and serial production started in 1992.

According to the website Novinite.com, the Finnish Company Patria could take part in the modernization of the Bulgarian Army by participating in the procedure for the acquisition of new armored vehicles for the Bulgarian Land Forces with its AMV 8x8 armoured vehicle. Bulgaria plans to buy 198 wheeled armoured vehicles as part of a program to modernize its armed forces.

According to the Washington Post, a senior executive of the U.S. Company Lockheed Martin said Tuesday, November 14, 2017, the company is delivering its Patriot missiles to Saudi Arabia who can also be interested to purchase the American-made THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) anti-ballistic air defense missile system.

Now those protection levels have been officially recognised by a British Standard as the Jankel Hot-formed LC200 becomes one of the first vehicles to achieve the vigorous PAS 301 certification.

According to the Hotnews website of Romania, German company Rheinmetall expects to sign an agreement with the Romanian government for the development of a new 8×8 armored vehicle called Agilis at Moreni in Southern Romania. The Agilis will incorporate Romanian technologies from the local-made SAUR prototypes and German Boxer 8x8 armoured vehicles.

BAE Systems has delivered the 250th upgraded M113 Armored Personnel Vehicle (APC) to the Brazilian Army. BAE Systems is currently upgrading Brazil's M113B vehicles to the A2 MK1 standard. Upgrades include new engines, upgraded transmissions, a new electronics architecture, and better armor protection. The upgrade is expected to extend each vehicle's life by at least 20 years.

Turkey signed a letter of intent with France and Italy on November 8, 2017, to strengthen cooperation on joint defence projects including air and missile defense systems, Turkish Defense Ministry sources said. The Franco-Italian EUROSAM consortium and Turkish companies could collaborate to acquire the SAMP-T surface-to-air defense missile system produced by EUROSAM.

Australian Minister for Defence Industry, the Hon Christopher Pyne MP, November 8, 2017, announced a major milestone in the Short Range Ground Based Air Defence project. Minister Pyne said a $12.1 million contract has been signed with Raytheon Australia for the first stage of the project to acquire NASAMS air defense missile system, which is worth up to $2 billion.

Defence and security company Saab and Raytheon Company are teaming up to cooperate on the development of new weapons systems for infantry forces to meet near-term U.S. and international requirements. The companies will look into bringing new capabilities to Saab’s Carl-Gustaf reloadable and AT4 disposable and shoulder launched weapon systems.

According to the International Business Time website, China would have tested its latest generation of InterContinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) DF-41, this missile is able to target the United States. The development for DF-41 is believed to be managed by the China Aerospace Sciences and Industry Corporation (CASIC), Beijing (it was the First Academy of the Ministry of Aerospace Industries).

According a statement released on Ministry of National Defense of Lithuania website, on November 7, 2017, Raimundas Karoblis the Defense Minister of Lithuania has announced during a meeting in Helsinki (Finland) with the U.S. Secretary of Defense of the United States James Mattis, the interest of Lithuania to purchase L-ATV manufactured by the American Company Oshkosh Defense.

The Berlin Police have ordered a specially protected Survivor R vehicle from Rheinmetall. Tailored to meet the requirements of the Operations Directorate, this versatile vehicle is earmarked for delivery in July 2018. The order is worth a six-figure euro amount. After Saxony, Berlin is the second German region to equip its police force with the Survivor R.

Since the Swedish parliament settled the defence framework decision 2015, the Swedish Armed Forces (SwAF) and FMV have evaluated different systems to enhance the Swedish air-defence capability with a medium range surface-to-air system. The Swedish government has given go-ahead to FMV to commence negotiations regarding procurement of the US Patriot system.

Bittium is part of Operational Capability 1 (OC1) phase that continues the ESSOR (European Secure Software defined Radio) programme. During the OC1 phase, the operational capabilities of ESSOR High Data Rate Waveform (HDR WF), meant for joint operations between defense forces of different countries, will be enhanced. The contract for the OC1 phase between the industrial consortium a4ESSOR (Alliance for ESSOR), including companies developing the European European Software Defined Radio technology, and OCCAR (Organisation Conjointe de Coopération en matière d’ARmement), representing the ESSOR participant countries, was announced earlier today.

India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) achieved yet another feat today with the successful test flight of ‘NIRBHAY’ - India’s first indigenously designed and developed Long Range Sub-Sonic Cruise Missile which can be deployed from multiple platforms. It was successfully test fired from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
