These FMS conctrat includes multiband (AN/PRC-152A: AN/PRC-117G), high frequency (HF) and dismount radio systems, as well as antennas, BMS software, data terminals, touch tablets, field service representatives, and training for installation, operation and maintenance.

"Work will be performed in Rochester, New York, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2016," the US DoD said.

The AN/PRC-152 Multiband Handheld Radio (Harris Falcon III) is a portable, compact, tactical software-defined combat-net radio manufactured by Harris Corporation. The Harris Falcon III AN/PRC-152A Wideband Networking Handheld Radio provides simultaneous voice and high-speed data services on the move. The handheld incorporates interoperability with traditional narrowband LOS and SATCOM waveforms such as SINCGARS, Havequick II, and VHF/UHF AM and FM in the 30-512 MHz range. For homeland security operations, the radio supports APCO P25 to bridge the gap between U.S. DoD agencies, emergency first responders, and state and local agency personnel.

On top of the traditional waveforms, the AN/PRC-152A is capable of wideband (1.2 MHz Bandwidth) IP-based networking waveforms from 225 to 450 MHz. With more power (5W LOS, 10W SATCOM) and more frequency coverage (30-512 and 762-870 MHz), the AN/PRC-152A is the only complete multiband handheld radio offering assured communications for the warfighter.

The Harris Falcon III AN/PRC-117G(V)1(C) Multiband Networking Manpack Radio is a software-defined tactical radio that provides breakthrough wideband data performance and legacy narrowband interoperability in one lightweight package. Covering the 30 MHz to 2 GHz frequency range, this single-channel radio is 30% smaller and 35% lighter than currently fielded multiband manpack radios and operates off a single standard battery.
