To date, we have not yet seen any photo on the Internet or on social networks that can confirm this information, which was reported to the Russian news agency TASS by the Russian government service.

The Russian army now continues to deploy these latest generations of combat vehicles to reinforce its troops fighting on the territory of Ukraine, and after the T-90M main battle tank and the BMPT tank fire support vehicle, it is now the TOS-2, the latest generation of flamethrower rocket launcher system.

A flamethrower vehicle uses rockets equipped with incendiary or thermobaric warheads able to destroy enemy troops from cities, bunkers, and tunnels. These rockets mix fuel and air in a cloud that, when detonated, creates massive heat and pressure effects, instantaneously burning all the surrounding oxygen.

The TOS-2 nicknamed Tosochka is a new wheeled version of the TOS Heavy Flamethrower Rocket Launcher System based on a truck chassis that was unveiled in 2020 at the Victory Day military parade rehearsal. The previous versions of flamethrower vehicles are based on a tracked chassis, i.e. the TOS-1 and the TOS-1A.

The new TOS 2 Tosochka is based on a 6x6 Ural-63706-0120 truck chassis. The front of the truck is fitted with an armored crew cab that provides protection against the firing of small arms and artillery shell splinters.

The rear of the truck chassis is fitted with the launcher station consisting of a container with three rows of eight tubes. According to Russian military sources, it can fire 220mm rockets with thermobaric or smoke-incendiary warheads. The vehicle is also equipped with an onboard computerized fire control system, inertial navigation, and aiming systems.
