During Project Convergence 21, the Future Vertical Lift (FVL) Cross-Functional Team of the U.S. Army experimented with using ALEs (Air Launched Effects) to help Soldiers see the battlefield and extend their reach. U.S. Army continues to upgrade Stryker 8x8 armored vehicles with the latest generation of weapon stations to increase firepower. The American company Oshkosh Defense was recently selected by the U.S. Army to integrate the 30 mm MCWS (Medium Caliber Weapon System) onto the Stryker Double V Hull Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICVVA1).

The Pribor enterprise of Tecmash is the sole Russian designer and a major producer of small-caliber shells for automatic air guns, ground forces and the navy, as well as projectiles for grenade launchers. The enterprise is creating modern shells for small-caliber artillery and a new Balkan grenade launcher, Rostec said.

The Northern fleet held a large-scale exercise in the Barents, Kara, and Laptev Seas near Novosibirsk Islands and Franz-Joseph Land Archipelago. On October 8, 2021, the U.S. Army released the Army Unified Network Plan, which is the critical enabler to establishing the Army’s Multi-Domain Operations capable force by 2028. The Unified Network enables Army formations, as part of the Joint Force, to operate in highly contested and congested operational environments with the speed and global range to achieve decision dominance and maintain overmatch. Nexter Group is presenting part of its product catalogue at the IDET 2021 exhibition in Brno, Czech Republic, from 6 to 8 October 2021.
