The Bradley M2A4 is a tracked, armored fighting vehicle that entered into service with United States Army in April 2022. It is designed to transport infantry soldiers and provide support during combat operations.

The M2A4 variant of the Bradley is the latest version, which incorporates a number of improvements over earlier models. These include improved sensors and communications equipment, upgraded armor protection, and enhanced firepower.

The M2A4 also has a commander’s independent viewer that allows the commander to scan for targets and maintain situational awareness while remaining under armor and without interfering with the gunner’s acquisition and engagement of targets. Platform modifications under the Bradley Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) program include upgraded engine and transmission, improved track (dual pin), torsion bars, road arms, and shock absorbers.

The Bradley M2A4 is armed with an M242 25mm Bushmaster cannon, which can fire high-explosive, armor-piercing, and air-burst rounds. It also has a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun and can carry a variety of other weapons, such as TOW missiles or Stinger missiles, depending on the mission requirements.

The vehicle has a crew of three, including a driver, gunner, and commander, and can carry up to seven fully-equipped infantry soldiers. It has a top road speed of around 61 km/h and can travel up to 400 km on a single tank of fuel.

The Bradley M2A4 is a versatile and effective vehicle that has seen extensive use by the U.S. Army in a variety of missions, including reconnaissance, combat operations, and peacekeeping missions.
