BAE Systems secures 15-year maintenance deal for Denmark's CV90 combat vehicles.

BAE Systems has entered into a 15-year framework agreement with the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) to offer repair and maintenance services for the Danish Army’s CV90 infantry fighting vehicles. The contract, valued at around $400 million (approximately DKK 3 billion), aims to enhance the vehicles' operability.

This deal ensures the provision of repair and maintenance for the Danish Army's 44 CV90s, including the supply of spare parts, at a time when the military's operational pace is notably high.

Tommy Gustafsson-Rask, the managing director of BAE Systems Hägglunds—the entity responsible for the CV90’s design and manufacture—highlighted the significance of the agreement. He stated it guarantees the operational efficiency and high capability of the Danish Army’s CV90 fleet for the foreseeable future, expressing pride in supplying these essential services to Denmark.

The CV90 is renowned for its advanced, combat-proven performance and versatility in the 20-38 tonne class. It is equipped with a comprehensive range of weapon systems, offering a broad combat capability to global land forces.

Currently, the CV90 is operational or on order in 17 different variants, totaling 1,700 vehicles. It has amassed over eight million kilometres in service. The vehicle is chosen by ten European countries, including seven NATO members, and has been deployed in conflict zones such as Liberia, Afghanistan, and Ukraine.
