Denmark and Norway have once again joined forces to donate artillery shells to Ukraine. This time it concerns a total of 9,000 shell components. In addition, Denmark itself donated a further 1,500 complete artillery shells and 500 grenades.

"The Ukrainians continue to have a great and urgent need for ammunition for their fight against Russia. Together with other EU and NATO countries, Denmark is in the process of responding with a number of different measures. Together with Norway, we can now send more than 10,000 complete artillery rounds within a short time", says Acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.

Ukraine has on several occasions emphasized the need for long-range artillery ammunition. The total donation means that Ukraine will receive a total of 10,500 complete artillery rounds and an additional 500 shells.

In April, Denmark and Norway donated 8,000 artillery shells to Ukraine. The new collaboration means that the Danish and Norwegian equipment can be assembled into complete artillery shots, which will then be donated to Ukraine.

"Ukraine has an extensive need for artillery ammunition. It is urgent. We have therefore decided to join forces with Denmark for a new donation, so that Ukraine receives the ammunition as quickly as possible. It is important that we continue to stand together in support of Ukraine. Norway will continue to support Ukraine against the Russian invasion forces for as long as necessary", says the Norwegian Minister of Defense Bjørn Arild Gram.
