Defense cooperation between Chile and Colombia extends beyond bilateral agreements and includes their involvement in regional defense organizations and initiatives. Both nations are part of the Pacific Alliance, an economic and development alliance which also includes Mexico and Peru, aiming to foster integration among its members, including in the field of defense. This multilateral cooperation framework may facilitate joint military exercises, defense industry collaboration, and shared security strategies against common threats.

Additionally, Chile and Colombia are both active members of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations, platforms through which they can collaborate on broader international security and defense matters. Their participation in these organizations allows for cooperation in peacekeeping missions, the promotion of regional stability, and discussions on global defense and security challenges.

The Hunter TR-12, produced by Armor International, is an armored personnel carrier designed for transporting troops into high-risk zones. Its structure offers enhanced protection with Level B6 armor against gunfire and ambushes, featuring a monohull design on an independent chassis. The Hunter TR-12 can be fitted with a wide range of range of weapon systems, including a versatile roof turret, enhancing its defensive capabilities. The vehicle can accommodate a crew of two and ten passengers, making it a tactical asset for military operations.

The Hunter TR-12 with its 4-wheel drive system, utilizes all 4 wheels for propulsion, ensuring robust off-road capability. Powered by an 8-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower, it boasts a 6-speed forward and a single reverse gear transmission. With a weight of 9,071 kg, it's built for durability and can carry a significant load, supported by a substantial 260-liter fuel capacity, allowing for extended operations without frequent refueling.
