The International Armored Group (IAG) unveils its new RILA 4x4 MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle during DSEI 2017, the Defense and Security Exhibition which was held in London, United Kingdom. IAG is one of the largest privately owned armored vehicle manufacturers in the world with three manufacturing facilities worldwide located in the United States, United Arab Emirates and Turkey.

Twenty years ago, IAG started its business in the Cash-in-Transit field and expanded into the commercial armored vehicles market followed by armored passenger transport and most recently the tactical vehicles market for military and law enforcement.

Many variants of wheeled armoured vehicle are currently in services with police and military forces all over the world. With the increased demand for new more protected vehicle offering high level of protection, IAG has developed a new range of modern MRAP vehicles including the new RILA, a 4x4 armoured personnel carrier (APC) in the category of MRAP vehicle.

This is the biggest MRAP Vehicle that IAG offers with the highest level of protection. The IAG Rila 4x4 MRAP is based on Italian-made IVECO Trakker truck chassis with an all welded monocoque steel armour hull using V-hull technology to increase vehicle and crew survivability by deflecting an upward directed blast from a landmine or Improvised Explosive Device (IED). It provides a protection up to STANAG Level STANAG 4569 Level 3a, 3b, or 4a, including front, sides rear and roof.

The IAG Rila MRAP can carry up to 12 fully geared military personnel equipped with military grade certified blast attenuation seats. There is two seats at the front of the vehicle for driver and commander , and 10 seats at the rear, 5 on each side of the hull facing inwards. In 6x6 configuration, the vehicle can carry a total of 14 people.

The vehicle can be fitted with a one-man open-top turret or a remotely operated weapon station which can be armed with a machine gun up to 12.7 mm caliber.

The IAG Rila 4x4 MRAP is available in LHD (Left Hand Drive) & RHD (Right Hand Drive) configurations as well as 4x4 & 6x6 drive train with a turbocharged 6 cylinders diesel engine producing 380HP @1900rpm and 1900Nm of torque @ 1435rpm. It is available in both 12V & 24V electrical systems. Available configurations include military ambulance package, riot-control package and high payload package for cargo transport.
