Discover all French military equipment and combat vehicles delivered to Ukraine
The French Ministry of Armed Forces has published the list of military equipment and combat vehicle delivered to Ukraine. On Monday, March 4, 2024, the French Ministry of Armed Forces released the inventory of military equipment supplied to Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to December 31, 2023. The French government provided Ukraine with military equipment valued at a total of 2.615 billion euros, in addition to an extra contribution of 1.2 billion euros to the European Peace Facility (EPF), bringing its total support to over 3.8 billion euros by December 31, 2023. While most of these items were already known, their quantities were not necessarily disclosed.

Beyond financial aid, France has been involved in training Ukrainian forces. Nearly 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained by French and Polish military personnel, reflecting France's determination to enhance Ukraine's defensive capabilities through training and skill development programs.
In parallel with its support for Ukraine, France has also been actively engaged in bolstering security in Eastern Europe. The country has undertaken ground deployments in Romania and Estonia, as well as temporary air deployments in Lithuania and from metropolitan France. Furthermore, France maintains a maritime presence in the Baltic and Mediterranean Seas.
In total, around fifty different weapons and military equipment have been provided to Ukrainian forces between February 24, 2022, and December 31, 2023.
The equipment supplied includes advanced systems such as anti-aircraft batteries, armored vehicles, and advanced artillery units, highlighting a significant effort to enhance Ukraine's military response capabilities.
In addition to these essential items, France has also supplied a variety of individual equipment, including optical and communication systems, which improve the tactical effectiveness of Ukrainian forces. This support also extends to maritime and medical equipment, demonstrating a comprehensive approach aimed at addressing the various needs of the Ukrainian armed forces in the context of the conflict.

Rocket launcher system AT4 (Delivery NBR 1002)
The AT4 is used to engage armored vehicles with reactive armor, lightly armored wheeled vehicles, and bunkers. It offers the capability of firing in confined spaces provided that certain size and volume conditions are met. Designed for close-range combat, the weapon is pre-loaded and designed for a single shot.
MILAN Anti-Tank Missile System (Delivery NBR 3)
The MILAN is a portable anti-tank missile system with a maximum effective range of 2,000 meters. It can penetrate over 500mm of rolled homogeneous armor. Its wire-guided system enables operators to engage and adjust the missile's trajectory towards static or moving targets, making it a crucial asset against enemy armored threats.
TRF1 Cannons (Delivery NBR 6)
The TRF1 is a towed 155mm cannon with a maximum range of around 30 kilometers when utilizing extended-range munitions. Its precision and strong ballistic capabilities render it effective for providing fire support and interdiction over considerable distances, thereby aiding ground forces in offensive and defensive operations.
CAESAR Howitzers (Delivery NBR 30)
The CAESAR 155mm self-propelled howitzer integrates mobility, range, and firepower, featuring an operational range of up to 40 kilometers when utilizing extended-range ammunition. Mounted on a 6x6 truck chassis, it provides exceptional mobility across diverse terrains, swift deployment, and the capability to execute shoot-and-scoot maneuvers, reducing susceptibility to counter-battery fire. Both systems were delivered with a stock of 300,000 rounds of 155mm ammunition.
LRU (M270) Rocket Launcher Systems (Delivery NBR 4)
The LRU (M270) multiple rocket launcher system has the capacity to deliver devastating barrages of rockets at distances of up to 70 kilometers, contingent on the type of ammunition used. Its ability to swiftly blanket expansive areas with high-explosive or submunition warheads renders it highly effective against enemy concentrations, defensive positions, and area targets, providing a substantial force multiplier for artillery units.
CROTALE NG (Delivery NBR 2)
The Crotale NG is a highly maneuverable air defense system designed for short-to-medium range engagements, capable of targeting threats up to 15 kilometers away and at altitudes of up to 5,000 meters. Equipped with a radar system featuring swift target acquisition and tracking capabilities, it ensures quick responses to aerial threats. Its adaptability and seamless integration into existing defense networks make it well-suited for safeguarding both stationary installations and mobile units against airborne assaults.
Radar GM200 (Delivery NBR 1)
The GM 200 radar is a versatile multi-mission radar system known for its detection range of up to 250 kilometers. It has the capability to track various types of air threats, ranging from advanced fighter jets to small, low-flying targets. With its mobility, the radar system can be rapidly deployed and repositioned, offering flexible support for air defense operations and improving situational awareness across the battlefield.
MISTRAL Anti-Air systems (Delivery NBR 6)
The MISTRAL missile system is a man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) engineered for short-range engagements, with the capability to strike targets up to 6 kilometers away and at altitudes of up to 3,000 meters. Its infrared guidance system enables fire-and-forget capability, enhancing its effectiveness against low-flying aircraft and helicopters. The Mistral's portability and user-friendly operation make it well-suited for swift deployment in diverse operational environments.
SAMP/T Air Defense System (Delivery NBR 1)
The SAMP-T system, equipped with the ASTER 30 missile, is a crucial element in contemporary air defense, renowned for its ability to intercept threats at distances of up to 120 kilometers and altitudes of up to 20 kilometers. With its radar capable of tracking and engaging multiple targets simultaneously, the system provides a comprehensive 360-degree defense capability. This versatility enables it to defend against various air threats, including aircraft, cruise missiles, and tactical ballistic missiles, establishing it as a fundamental component of both national and expeditionary air defense networks..
AMX-10RC Reconnaissance Vehicles (Delivery NBR 38)
The AMX-10RC is an armored wheeled vehicle armed with a 105mm gun, able to engage targets up to 2,000 meters distant. Its versatility lies in its all-terrain mobility and robust armor protection against small arms and shell splinters, making it suitable for reconnaissance missions, light combat roles, and offering fire support for infantry units. The version supplied to Ukraine is the AMX-10RCR, an upgraded variant of the original AMX-10RC. They were delivered with 9,000 rounds of ammunition.
VAB Armored Vehicles (Delivery NBR 250)
The VAB 4x4 armored personnel carrier is specifically crafted to ferry troops while providing defense against small arms fire and shell fragments. It boasts adaptable configurations for roles such as command, medical evacuation, and logistics, with a payload capacity of up to 2 tons and a maximum speed of around 90 km/h, ensuring versatile operational assistance.
VLTT P4 Vehicles ( Delivery NBR 120)
The VLTT P4 is a nimble, off-road vehicle renowned for its exceptional mobility and dependability in tasks such as personnel transportation, reconnaissance, and logistical support. Designed to accommodate up to 4 individuals, with a payload capacity of approximately 500 kilograms, and capable of reaching speeds of up to 100 km/h, the P4 demonstrates versatility across various military and support functions in diverse terrain.
Finally, it can be added that 1000 FAMAS assault rifles and 560 heavy machine guns have been delivered. In terms of ammunition, this equates to nearly 3 million bullets and cartridges.
