Lithuania Continues Its Support to Ukraine with Delivery of New Drones and Loaders.
Lithuania has reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to supporting Ukraine by delivering a new batch of military equipment, including drones, thermal imaging devices, and 5-ton telescopic loaders. These items were transferred to the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the end of last week, enhancing the country's defense capabilities.

In a statement, Lithuania's Minister of National Defence, Dovilė Šakalienė, emphasized the urgency of maintaining aid to Ukraine: "We cannot slow down the assistance to Ukraine because Ukraine’s security concerns are our security concerns. We have the same amount of time that Ukraine does. Since we have removed bureaucratic obstacles, the aid will be getting to Ukraine even faster."
The new aid provided by Lithuania, which includes drones, thermal cameras, and 5-ton telescopic loaders, will significantly enhance Ukraine's capabilities on multiple fronts. The drones and thermal cameras will improve surveillance and detection, particularly in conflict areas where visibility conditions are difficult. This will allow Ukraine to better monitor enemy movements, improve the accuracy of its strikes, and strengthen its ability to counter both air and ground threats.
The telescopic loaders, on the other hand, will provide essential logistical support, easing the management of resources and supply to the troops. This aid thus helps bridge significant gaps in Ukraine's operational capabilities while speeding up the delivery of equipment through the removal of bureaucratic obstacles.
The military aid provided by Lithuania this year focuses on Ukraine's most urgent defense needs. Key priorities include air defense systems, ammunition, drones, and drone jamming equipment. Simultaneously, Lithuania is working to develop its defense industry while supporting Ukraine's defense sector through financial contributions aimed at producing weapons in Ukraine.
Lithuania will also play an important role in the Capability Coalition for Demining, which it leads in cooperation with Iceland. Additionally, the country remains active in other international coalitions and will continue to provide military assistance through collective initiatives and international funds. In parallel, Lithuania is offering medical rehabilitation aid to Ukrainian soldiers injured in combat, as well as ongoing training for Ukrainian military personnel.
Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Lithuania has provided substantial military support worth over EUR 754 million. Among the delivered equipment are air defense systems, drones, ammunition, drone jamming devices, and thermal imaging equipment. Furthermore, Lithuania has sent heavy vehicles such as 5-ton telescopic loaders and other logistical materials to support Ukraine's efforts on the ground. This support is aimed at meeting the urgent needs of the Ukrainian army while strengthening the country’s defense capabilities in the face of aggression.
In addition to these direct supplies, Lithuania has also invested in the development of Ukraine's defense industry by supporting local weapons production. Furthermore, Lithuania is actively participating in international initiatives such as the Capability Coalition for Demining, which it leads with Iceland. It continues to provide medical aid and training to Ukrainian forces, reaffirming its long-term commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and security.
