Russian army restores captured Ukrainian tanks and armored vehicles for pro-Russian militias

Citing information from the Russian Ministry of Defense, thanks to the high technical level of the Russian army maintenance troops, it takes only eight hours to replace an engine of a BTR-80, 8x8 armored vehicle personnel carrier.
At the same time, Russian maintenance army teams also repair captured Ukrainian military vehicles, including main battle tanks and armored personnel carriers, and restored them to put them back in fighting condition to be transferred to militias of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics.
According to the latest information published by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Russian armed forces have lost 784 main battle tanks, 2022 light tactical vehicles, 66 mobile air defense vehicles, 196 Multiple Launch Rocket Systems, 1,485 trucks, 25 engineer vehicles, and 4 mobile launchers for ballistic missiles.
At the same time, in March 2022, it was announced that the company Uralvagonzavod, the main producer of tanks and armored vehicles in Russia have halted operations due to problems with the supply of foreign parts and is not able to conduct the repair of tanks and armored vehicles.
Citing information published by the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian soldiers of maintenance units have already restored over 12 captured Ukrainian vehicles including tanks, infantry combat vehicles, and armored personnel carriers. Most of them were abandoned by Ukrainian soldiers and suffered minor damage.
