Ukraine field tests wheeled and tracked UGVs for combat purposes

Conducting field trials in Ukraine, a range of ground-based drones designed for the country's Armed Forces were put through their paces. Diverse entities, including both public and private companies, including smaller enterprises, showcased their innovative creations. A total of 25 robotic platforms were unveiled, equipped to fulfill a spectrum of roles, including delivering fire support, transporting ammunition, facilitating the evacuation of wounded personnel from the battleground, and executing demining operations. Fedorov emphasized the pivotal role of technology and innovation in securing victory and safeguarding the lives of soldiers. He affirmed that these groundbreaking solutions would soon enhance the military's efficacy in neutralizing adversaries.

The configurations of weaponry mounted on the Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) garnered significant attention. Additionally, electronic warfare systems were demonstrated, seemingly designed for countering unmanned aerial vehicles, alongside robots engineered to strategically deploy mines to designated coordinates.

Reportedly, Ukraine is placing a strategic emphasis on the advancement of robotic platforms, with plans to eventually integrate them into the structure of the nation's Armed Forces. In the pursuit of NATO-aligned modernization, they are working towards establishing a contemporary military force. It's worth noting that several of these developed platforms are already undergoing real-world testing in active conflict zones. Previous reports also indicated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces received a ground robot designed to transport a TM-62 tank mine beneath armored vehicles for effective neutralization.
