IAG Rhino new large volume riot control protected armored vehicle
The Company IAG (International Armored Group), a world leader in the manufacturing of military and security vehicle based in United Arab Emirates, has developed the largest security vehicle nicknamed Rhino that can be used as Riot Control Vehicle or an Armored Personnel Carrier for police and security forces.

The Rhino is designed based on a civilian 4x4 military truck chassis, it can be armoured to offer ballistic up to CEN B7/NIJ Level IV, mine blast and IED (Improvised Explosive Device) STANAG 4569 protection up to Level II. The B7 level armour has the capability to withstand multiple rounds of 7.62x51mm armor piercing ammunition. STANAG 4569 Level 2 offers protection against 6kg of TNT explosion under the wheels and the center of the vehicle.
The design of the riot control Rhino is very unique with two single seats at the front of the vehicle for driver and commander and a large internal volume able to accommodate 10 police officers. In fact, the Rhino measure 7.35 long, 2.39m wide and 3.285m high and has a gross vehicle weight of 10,850 kg.
The crew compartment at the front of the Rhino is fitted with large windows protected by mesh grills. On each side, there is one single door fitted with one single window and one firing port in the lower part. The police officers can enter and leave the vehicle via two side doors and one rear door.
Each side of the troops compartment are fitted with 6 small windows protected by mesh grills and four firing ports offering awareness all around the vehicle and the possibility to use individual weapons from inside and under the protection of the vehicle.
The roof of the vehicle can be fitted with a one-man open top turret which can be armed with different types of armament including 7.62mm or 12.7mm caliber machine guns, or automatic grenade launcher.
Standard equipment of the Rhino 4x4 riot control protected vehicle can includes air conditioning system, surveillance cameras, communication systems, night vision, integrated fire suppression system, PA system with siren and strobe lights.
