The Czech company Excalibur Army unveiled its new self-propelled MLRS: the RM-70 Vampire 4D at IDEX 2017, n the CzechoSlovakian Group's (CSG) stand.

The RM 70 Vampire 4D 122 mm Multiple Rocket Launcher is the latest upgraded variant of the oiginal Czechosloakian Army version of the RM-70 and a heavier version of the BM-21 Grad MLRS. This system respresents the third upgraded variant of RM-70 recently designed and manufactured by Excalibur Army.

The rocket launcher and the reloading device are mounted on a TATRA T-815-7 8x8 tr. 1R chassis with left hand drive, electronic shift control with semi-automatic or manual modes and air suspension. Sighting is ensured by means of dependent PG-1M sight, laying onto target is electrically powered or may be performed manually. Rockets may be fired individually or in volleys.

The vehicle weight (including the crew and 80 rockets) is about 25 tons, the maximum firing range is 40,200 meters and the total area impacted by a volley of 40 rockets is up to 70 ha.
