| The EE-11 Urutu is a 6x6 armoured vehicle personnel carrier designed and manufactured by the Defense Company Engensa in the years 70. The production of the first vehicle began in 1974. The Brazilian Marine Corps use a modified amphibious variant with propellers and a more powerful engine. The latest EE-11 Urutu was produced in 1987, but the vehicle is always in service with the Brazilian army and also to many countries all over the world. The latest variant of the vehicle was upgraded with a new engine and automatic transmission. The EE-11 Urutu has a crew of three (driver, commander and machine gun operator) and can carry 10 fully equipped infantrymen. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

- Mortar carrier: an 81mm mortar is mounted at the rear of the vehicle
- Ambulance: with a higher roof and can carry between six and eight walking soldiers wounded or a smaller number of stretcher cases - Cargo: it can carry 2,000 kg of equipment - AFSV: amphibious fire support vehicle armed with an ENGESA EC-90 90 mm gun. - Command vehicle: equipped with radios - Recovery: is fitted with a front-mounted winch, a hydraulic crane, an oxy-acetylene welding machine, a portable generator, an electric welding transformer, an electric grinder, a complete range of tools and specialized equipment and a tent. - Riot control: same as the standard version but a blade is mounted at the front of the vehicle |
