Description
The Puma is a 4x4 APC (Armoured Personnel carrier designed, produced, and manufactured by the Company Streit Group, the world's leading privately-owned vehicle armoring company, a success built on the proven performance of its customized security and civil armored vehicles in testing conflict zones. The vehicle was unveiled for the first in February 2013, at IDEX the International Defense Exhibition of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. The Puma is a reliable and highly protected APC with proven capabilities. The Puma APC is currently in service with many armies and security forces in the world. With its 4x4 maneuverability, nimble performance, and aggressive stance, it can safely navigate in the most challenging of urban environments. It is also highly customizable to meet any requirements for specific missions. The vehicle can be used for a wide range of missions including peacekeeping operations.

Technical Data
Armament |
The Streit Group Puma 4x4 APC can be fitted with a full range of weapon stations with a roof turret. It can be armed with a 7.62 mm or 12.7mm machine gun. The Puma can be also equipped with a remote weapon station (RWS) which provides the system operator with internal crew cab protection with full remote operation for medium and heavy caliber machine guns. Thermal sensors and laser rangefinders can be integrated into the RWS enabling the gunner to identify the enemy at nearly two kilometers. These advanced features allow the warfighter to detect and engage the threat at extended ranges before the enemy can react.

Design and protection |
The layout of the Streit Group Puma 4x4 APC is standard with the engine at the front, crew seats in the middle and the troop's compartment at the rear. The Puma can carry a total of nine people including the driver and commander. Each side of the vehicle is fitted with three small bulletproof windows with anti-riot mesh and firing ports. In the rear of the hull is a large door that opens to the right, with a bulletproof window in its upper part. The Puma entire armored structure has been designed with the application of the latest technology and the finest armored steel base, thus providing 100% security from ballistic and blast threats. The hull of the vehicle is a fully encapsulated armor structure that offers excellent blast and ballistic protection. The hull of the Puma protects its occupants against ballistic threats up to STANAG 4569, Level B6 (7.62x51 NATO caliber), and can be upgraded to B7 (7.62x51 AP Armour-Piercing NATO caliber). The floor is protected at STANAG 4569 Level 3 which protects 8kg mine explosion pressure activated under any wheel or track location.

Mobility |
The Streit Group Puma 4x4 APC is based on the Toyota Tundra chassis. The vehicle is motorized with a 5.7-liter aluminum i-Force V8 DOHC engine coupled to a 6-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with intelligence (ECT-i), sequential shift mode and uphill/downhill shift logic, TOW/HAUL mode. The Puma 4x4 APC provides excellent mobility which can be utilized in both rural and urban areas, with its powerful engine and automatic gearbox the vehicle is ideal for rough terrain and obstacle crossing operations. |
