China boosting cooperation with Russia in key technology of bombers, transport trainers
 

According to the internet journal People Daily, The aviation industry of Jiangxi Province developed very swiftly in 2013. AVIC Jiangxi Hongdu Aviation Industry Group is actively boosting its cooperation with Russia in the key technology of bombers and transport trainers, according to information from the website of the Commission of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense.

In 2013, the operating income of Jiangxi's aviation industry exceeded RMB 30 billion, representing year-on-year growth of 23.6 percent.

The "rapier" unmanned plane jointly developed by Hongdu Aviation and Shenyang Aircraft Industry group made a successful maiden flight, making China the fourth country in the world which has independently mastered the technology of combat airplanes of this type.

The aviation industry of Jiangxi Province has also made a new breakthrough in foreign cooperation. Hongdu Group has been actively boosting its cooperation with Russia in the key technology of bombers and transport trainers. Changhe Aircraft Company has earned more than 12 million US dollars in the international subcontracting of the S92 and A109 aircraft, and Boeing products.

In 2014, Jiangxi Province will explore the international market with such products as L15 advanced trainers, general-purpose airplanes and civil-use helicopters on the basis of the export of current aviation products including the K8 and unmanned planes. In addition, in 2014, Jiangxi will further promote the status and influence of its aviation industry by focusing on the development of the general-purpose aviation industry.
