“A Russian
Air Force base will be created in 2016. It will hold Su-27
fighter aircraft,” Bondarev told journalists during a
working visit to construction projects of the Russian Air Force. The Russian fighter jets will be based at a military airfield in the city of Bobruisk, Bondarev said, adding that a technical plan for the field’s reconstruction is already in place. The Sukhoi Su-27 (NATO reporting name: Flanker) is a twin-engine fighter aircraft designed by the Russian Company Sukhoi. |
