Canadian Commercial Corp awarded contract for MX series turrets in support of Special Operation Forces AC-130 aircraft.
Canadian Commercial Corp., Ottawa, Canada, has been awarded an estimated $9,926,752 modification (P00010) to previously awarded contract FA8509-17-C-0001 for contractor logistics support for MX series turrets in support of Special Operation Forces AC-130 Aircraft.

The Lockheed AC-130 gunship is a heavily armed, long-endurance, ground-attack variant of the C-130 Hercules transport, fixed-wing aircraft. It carries a wide array of ground attack weapons that are integrated with sophisticated sensors, navigation, and fire-control systems. The AC-130 gunship's primary missions are close air support, air interdiction and force protection.
MX-Series electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) imaging turrets are operational across 74 countries, on more than 137 different types of platforms, and are supported by more than 14 globally deployed authorized service centers and a team of field service technicians who are available for dispatch 24/7 to anywhere in the world.
This modification is to establish pricing for and to exercise option three. Work will be performed at Ontario, Canada, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2020. The total cumulative face value of the contract is $29,132,186. Fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $2,506,100 are being obligated at the time of award. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Special Operation Forces Support Activity, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, is the contracting activity.
