USA donates 6 Huey helicopters to Panama.

The United States State Dept. donated six Bell UH-1H ‘Huey’ helicopters to Panama’s security forces for search-and-rescue, medical evacuation, and surveillance missions.

The donation, valued at $30 million, was delivered on 28 June under an agreement that includes crew training and maintenance trough 2023.

They are to be operated by the Servicio Nacional Aeronaval (National Naval Aviation Service) and will be based at Teniente Octavio Rodríguez Garrido Air Base in Panamá Pacífico, to the northwest of Panama city.
