The Swedish Air Force has extensive experience with deployment concepts and, among other things, using road bases, something that several other countries' air forces show great interest in. Norway is now developing a deployment concept where they can use air bases in other locations if acute situations require it.

Deputy Air Force Chief Tommy Petersson said: ‘’Today's exercise shows good cooperation between the Swedish Air Force and the Norwegian Air Force. In order to increase their capabilities, we, as a partner country, are happy to share our long experience of using other airports, bases and road bases in our Swedish concept with our friends’’.

Landing at Vidsel base went very well, despite challenging weather conditions. They could land, clear the fighter jets to later take off and continue the exercise.
