The NH90 Rear Cabin Trainer is an advancement of RST’s proven NH90 Maintenance Training Rig (MTR), tailored to meet the specific training needs of airmobile forces. The versatile device will empower future NH90 users (e.g. paratroopers, infantry personnel) as well as crew members to acquire essential skills in air transport, medical evacuation (MedEvac), casualty evacuation (CasEvac), and various loading/unloading procedures encompassing a range of configurations. The training device closely replicates the NH90 cabin, excluding the upper deck and rotor, while incorporating a reduced tail boom.
This project’s scope is not limited to the development of the NH90 Rear Cabin Trainer; it also includes the conversion of two existing original NH90 fuselages into this sophisticated training environment.
The NH90 Rear Cabin Trainer will be operational at the Air Manoeuvre Training and Exercise Centre (Ausbildungs- und Übungszentrum Luftbeweglichkeit (Ausb/ÜbZLbwglk) located in Celle, Germany, with anticipated readiness in autumn 2024.
Dr. Johannes Hain, CEO at RST, stated : “Sustainability is at the heart of our mission, and this project is a testament to our dedication to eco-conscious training. Our NH90 replicas are a commitment to precision, delivering an experience that stays true to every detail. We are proud to provide an advanced training solution that enhances the skills and safety of airmobile forces while embracing sustainable practices.“
