The expected aircraft include two Airbus Helicopters H225M Caracals and a Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules. Vice Marshal A. Gustaf said that the first Caracal helicopter had actually been assembled by PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI): "Actually, last week, it was to be handed over (to the Indonesian Air Force) but for one reason or another, it was postponed".
PT DI assembled four Caracal helicopters imported from Airbus in France. Two of them will be handed over to the Indonesian Air Force this year.
Apart from the Caracal helicopter, the Indonesian Air Force will also add one Hercules C-130J Super Hercules. "At the beginning of 2024, the C-130J will arrive," said Gustaf. Indonesia, through the Ministry of Defense, ordered five Super Hercules from Lockheed Martin. So far, only three of them have arrived in Indonesia. They carried out navigation exercises and were used for flypasts during the TNI's 78th anniversary.
