Poland’s MSPO 2025 Becomes Key International Defence Industry Exhibition for Global Security.
From 2 to 5 September 2025, the Polish city of Kielce will once again host the International Defence Industry Exhibition, known globally as MSPO, now in its 33rd edition. As one of Europe’s foremost defence events and a growing global reference point, MSPO gathers government delegations, industry leaders, and military experts to explore new technologies, sign key agreements, and reinforce international defence cooperation. In a world marked by rising instability and record levels of defence spending, the 2025 edition stands out as a pivotal platform for shaping the future of global security.

MSPO has earned a reputation as a central meeting point for the defence industry, thanks to its consistent ability to attract high-level participants and generate real-world impact. With three months remaining before its opening, over 400 companies from 31 countries have already confirmed their presence, securing nearly 30,000 square metres of exhibition space across eight halls and extensive outdoor areas. This strong early commitment reflects the urgency and intensity driving the international defence sector. The exhibition enjoys the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland and the continued strategic partnership of the Polish Armaments Group. It is supported by key state institutions, including the Ministry of National Defence and the Armaments Agency, reinforcing its importance at both the national and international levels.
Europe’s current security environment has significantly shaped the context of MSPO 2025. As NATO member states adapt to persistent threats and an increasingly volatile geopolitical climate, defence budgets have reached unprecedented levels. Poland, hosting the event, is now investing more than 4% of its GDP into military modernisation, one of the highest figures in NATO. For many global defence firms and decision-makers, this makes MSPO a priority destination. As noted by Dr. Andrzej Mochoń, President of the Management Board of Targi Kielce, "We witness the decade of intensive rearmament; MSPO fits perfectly into this trend." The exhibition is therefore more than a commercial showcase, it is a strategic venue for understanding, influencing, and responding to the defence realities of today and tomorrow.
A key feature of the event will be the 26th Armed Forces Exhibition, held under the banner "Modern Armed Forces create a strong and secure future." Coordinated by the Inspectorate of Support for the Armed Forces and involving over a thousand Polish Army soldiers, the exhibition highlights the operational readiness, weapon systems, and technological progress of the Polish armed forces, embedded within NATO structures. It serves both as a national showcase and as a reflection of alliance-level ambitions and priorities. Alongside this, MSPO 2025 will also host high-level conferences, industry seminars, and official visits from military attachés accredited in Poland, creating a dynamic space for dialogue and decision-making.
MSPO is also a space where innovation meets recognition. Each year, the event honours outstanding defence technologies and products with a series of prestigious awards, including the Award of the President of the Republic of Poland, the Special Distinction of the Minister of National Defence, and the well-known Defender Award. These accolades, along with distinctions from senior military leaders, reinforce the exhibition’s role as a benchmark for excellence in the global defence industry. But beyond trophies, MSPO has repeatedly demonstrated its impact through tangible outcomes. Numerous arms contracts and strategic cooperation agreements have historically been concluded during the event, often valued in the hundreds of millions of zlotys. This tradition is expected to continue in 2025, as Polish industry strengthens its ties with international partners, aligning innovation with operational needs.
As defence cooperation grows increasingly complex and essential, MSPO offers a timely and powerful opportunity to align interests, demonstrate capabilities, and prepare for future challenges. With a record level of engagement, a growing international presence, and a strategic focus shaped by Europe’s most pressing security demands, MSPO 2025 is set to be more than an exhibition, it is a crossroads for decisions that will define the next chapter of global defence.
