Techterre 2025: Strategic Meeting to Accelerate Innovation in French Army with Support From Coges Events.
On July 9 and 10, 2025, the Urban Combat Training Center (CENZUB) in Sissonne, Aisne, will host the first edition of Techterre, a new event dedicated to innovation in the land and air-land defense sector. Organized by the Commandement du Combat Futur (CCF) in partnership with COGES Events, the event aims to establish itself as a key platform for co-development between industry stakeholders, start-ups, researchers, and military forces. In a context marked by rapid technological shifts and evolving threats, Techterre 2025 reflects the French Army’s broader effort to accelerate its transformation.

Designed as a collaborative innovation laboratory, Techterre is structured around a unique format that emphasizes direct experimentation of proposed solutions. The event will take place in an intentionally operational and austere environment within the realistic training infrastructure of CENZUB, a leading European facility for urban warfare training. This setting offers an immersive experience where innovations can be tested against the constraints of real-world operational scenarios.
The event’s objective is to identify, trial, and integrate technologies capable of addressing current operational needs while anticipating future battlefield requirements. Through four key pillars — anticipate, innovate, experiment, and exploit — the CCF seeks to foster an agile ecosystem where field feedback, technological demonstrations, and collaborative design workshops converge in a short development cycle.
The Techterre 2025 program includes several key features. Live and static demonstrations will assess the relevance and applicability of various technological solutions, whether already mature or still under development. Ideation workshops will bring together industry representatives, researchers, and military personnel to collaboratively address defined operational challenges. In addition, targeted B2B meetings lasting 15 minutes will link Army project leaders with innovation stakeholders, promoting focused and practical exchanges.
The event will cover a range of thematic areas, including logistics and maintenance, command posts, robotics and drones, simulation and training, mobility and gap crossing, camouflage, information and communication systems, cyber defense, medical support, and force protection. These topics will guide both the exhibition spaces and the content of the ideation sessions.
On the second day, the event will feature a military demonstration at the Jeoffrécourt combat village — a dedicated facility designed to simulate urban warfare scenarios in a realistic and immersive environment.
Techterre 2025 is open to a wide range of participants, including Ministry of Armed Forces personnel, defense industry representatives from start-ups to large corporations, and public or private research centers. Interested exhibitors must apply in advance, providing details of their proposed solutions, including how they address specific operational challenges, their potential for rapid integration, and their current technology readiness level (TRL).
Supported by the Ministry of the Armed Forces, the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA), the Defense Innovation Agency (AID), the Army Technical Section (STAT), and several specialized regiments, Techterre 2025 is positioned as a key milestone in France’s defense innovation calendar. It reflects a strategic approach to fostering a responsive, interconnected community capable of adapting to the evolving demands of land combat and turning technological concepts into practical military capabilities.
