Czech Excalibur Army Wins Record $300M Southeast Asia Deal for 100+ Patriot Armored Vehicle Variants.

Excalibur Army has secured contracts in Southeast Asia for more than 100 Patriot armored vehicles, with a combined value exceeding 300 million dollars. The deal strengthens European defense industry penetration in the region while underscoring rising demand for modular armored platforms suited to internal security and military operations.

CSG Group announced on February 5, 2026, that its subsidiary Excalibur Army has signed a record export contract in Southeast Asia for the delivery of Patriot armored vehicles in multiple configurations. According to the company, the contracts exceed 300 million dollars in value, with vehicle production and deliveries scheduled to take place over the next three years. Company officials described the agreement as the largest Patriot export order to date, reflecting growing regional interest in versatile, mine-resistant platforms that can be adapted for troop transport, command and control, medical evacuation, and internal security missions.

The package is structured as a mixed fleet rather than a single-variant buy. CSG said the order includes command vehicles, armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicle variants, mortar support versions, and medical evacuation configurations, indicating a procurement designed to field a common vehicle family across several core land-force missions. The end user and the breakdown by variant were not disclosed in the announcement.

Excalibur Army CEO Vladimír Stulančák, quoted in the announcement, framed the agreement as a validation of Excalibur Army’s role within CSG in developing and producing land systems, frequently based on Tatra chassis. He also linked the deal to prior deliveries in the region, citing earlier exports of bridging systems and rocket launchers as examples of established cooperation with partners in Southeast Asia.

From a mobility standpoint, CSG emphasized that Patriot is built on a Tatra wheeled chassis and highlighted Tatra’s central backbone tube concept with independently suspended swinging half-axles. In the company’s description, this design is intended to support off-road performance and sustained mobility in demanding conditions, a key criterion for wheeled armored fleets expected to operate beyond prepared road networks.

Excalibur Army describes the vehicle as a modular combat tactical platform and lists baseline performance figures of a 2+6 seating arrangement, a top speed of 110 km/h, and a cruising range of 600 km. The company also positions Patriot for roles including command and staff, reconnaissance, artillery support, and medevac, aligning with the mission set reflected in the announced export package.

On protection and crew-support systems, CSG states that Patriot offers optional ballistic protection levels 2 to 4 and mine protection levels 2a/2b to 3a/3b in line with STANAG 4569.  The vehicle also incorporates integrated features such as air conditioning, an NBC filtration system, blast-resistant seating, and automatic fire suppression for both the cabin and engine, along with a self-cooling system.

CSG highlights mission adaptability and armament integration options on the product page. The company states that Patriot can be fitted with a remotely controlled weapon station, with configurations described as supporting systems up to a 30 mm class, and notes compatibility with machine guns in 7.62 mm, 12.7 mm, or 14.5 mm, as well as automatic grenade launchers and anti-tank weapon systems, depending on customer requirements.

CSG’s February 5, 2026 announcement details a record Patriot export program in Southeast Asia valued above USD 300 million and exceeding 100 vehicles over a three-year delivery schedule. Combined with CSG’s published technical description of Patriot’s Tatra-based mobility architecture, configurable protection, onboard crew-support systems, and modular mission and armament options, the contract points to a platform-family acquisition intended to support multiple operational roles within a single fleet concept.
