ABIMDE promotes Brazilian defense industry at Defense Services Asia | |||
The Brazilian Defense and Security Industry Association (ABIMDE), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), is participating in the 15th Defense Services Asia (DSA), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from April 18 to 21. The association's goal is to promote the Brazilian defense and security industry in the Asian market.

ABIMDE has 10 Brazilian companies at the event, doubling Brazil's participation when compared to the last edition of DSA. Brazilian companies are going to present high-tech products and services such as system integration, anchoring devices, non-lethal equipment, light weaponry, ammunition and cartridges, military signal flares, and solutions for ballistic protection, defense and combat systems, among others.

The ABIMDE booth will host the following companies: Altave, Avibras, Avionics, BCA, CBC, Condor, Embraer Defense and Security, Índios Pirotecnia, M&K, and Taurus.

"The Asian market offers great perspectives for expanding the Brazilian presence abroad. Having Brazilian companies at the DSA is crucial for us to show how we can provide products and services of the highest quality and added value," stated the executive vice-president of ABIMDE, Admiral Carlos Afonso Pierantoni Gambôa.

DSA is one of the most anticipated events of the year for the defense industry, gathering around 1,500 companies from 60 countries and 30 international groups' sections, and attracting around 30,000 visitors among entrepreneurs, military and government authorities. Besides its commercial exhibition, DSA offers a variety of seminars and conferences, as well as business opportunities. Highlights of the conferences include: cyber security; chemical, biological and nuclear warfare; and humanitarian aid. |
