made SA-6 Gainful at IDET 2011. |

At
the International Exhibition of Defence and Security Technologies
IDET 2001, the French Company MBDA and the Czech Company
Retia present a joint modernization project of Russian made
SA-6 Gainful air defense vehicle, armed with three Surface-to-Air
missile Aspide 2000, the SA-6 2K12 KUB CZ.

Modernized
SA-6 2K12 KUB CZ
|
|
Retia
is a Czech Company involved in developement and production
of the C4I systems, radar equipment, image processing,
air traffic control systems, simulators, training simulators.
For the SA-6 modernization, Retia made the complete replacement
of surveillance and fire control radar electronics, target
illuminator, new communication means and new operators'
workstations.

The
new 2K12 KUB CZ is armed with three Aspide 2000 missile
launcher |
|
This
upgraded version of SA-6 is called 2K12 KUB CZ, it's a mobile
all weather, short range Air Defence missile system. With
the use of Aspic 2000 missile, the intercept coverage of
the System is well in excess of 23 km in all direction.
The 2K12 KUB CZ is able to track, intercept and engage target
from 25 metres up to 12 km with spedd up to Mach 1.8.
The 2K12 KUB CZ is armed with three Aspide 2000 Missile
launcher in place of the old Russian Kub launcher station.
Aspide 2000 missile is a most powerful and upgraded version
of the Aspide multirole missile used for Surface-to-Air
applications. Aspide 2000 embodies all most modern electronic
features to improve its guidance characteristics and effectiveness
in heavy clutter and ECM environments. |
