The aim of the MILEX exhibition
is to demonstrate the samples of
production of defense enterprises
and enterprises that manufacture
products of dual application; to
create favorable conditions for
making mutually beneficial contacts
between manufacturers and consumers
of the products of the defense industry;
to promote contracts’ making
in the field of modernization of
arms, to popularize military machinery
and to increase the prestige of
the Army.
The
concept of the 6th International
exhibition of arms and military
machinery “Milex-2011”
has been developed and approved.
The exhibition “Milex-2011”
will be held in Minsk in May 24-27,
2011, - BelaPAN was informed by
Vladimir Lavrenyuk, the representative
of the State Military-Industrial
Committee of Belarus. According
to him, governmental organizations
subordinate to the State Military-Industrial
Committee of Belarus have submitted
a list of exhibits to be demonstrated
at the exhibition. The program of
the 5th International scientific
conference on military-technical
issues, defense and security problems,
use of dual-use technologies has
also been prepared.
According
to the organizers, the forum will
give a good opportunity to determine
the ways of development of science-intensive
industries and increase of the scientific
and technological potential of the
country; to develop proposals for
improvement of military-technical
and scientific cooperation and to
identify the mechanisms of integration
and cooperation with other countries.
The issues of scientific research
and developments for establishment
and elaboration of new and perspective
technologies and materials, equipment
and devices in the field of defense
and security, dual-use technologies
will be discussed within the conference.
