CASIC, China Aerospace Science& Industry Corporation unveils a new air defence missile weapon system at AirShow china 2012, the FL-2000C. Through its half century’s hard work and continuous exploration, many significant achievements which can be rated as original were developed by CASIC. It has complete aerospace defense manufacturing capacity and establishes national missile defense framework with multi-series, multi-models, all weather and multi-platforms.

Chinese-made FL-2000C mobile air defense missile system at AirShow China 2012
     

At Airshow China 2012, many mobile air defence missile systems models developed by CASIC are presented to the most important aviation and aerospace event in Asia, showing the new achievements of national defense weaponry building.

The new FL-2000C is an advanced terminal air defense missile weapon system. The turret of the vehicle is equipped with new generation 90mm-diameter IR homing missile which can intercept aircraft and cruise missiles effectively.

The FL-2000C is mainly used for field air defense and also for asset air defense. The vehicle can be used in full autonomous condition and it is very effective against small targets with excellent anti-jamming capability.

The weapon turret is mounted at the rear of a 4x4 Chinese truck with four launcher missiles on each side. All the optronics and firing sights are fitted in the middle of the turret.
