The
Italian company OTO Melara has delivered two anti-tank armoured vehicles
Centauro and two armoured infantry fighting vehicle Centauro Freccia in
Russia, the vehicles were delivered for firing tests that will start after
the green light by the Russian authorities, announced Wednesday, October
24, 2012, in Paris, representative of OTO Melara at Euronaval 2012, the

"The four vehicles are in Russia, the last two, a Centauro and a Freccia were delivered in July. We also provided all the equipment for the firing tests. We cannot specify the date of the firing tests, there must be decision of the Russian side, "said the representative of OTO Melara. OTO Melara has first delivered a wheeled anti-tank vehicle Centauro with a 105 mm cannon and a wheeled armoured infantry fighting vehicle Freccia based on the chassis of Centauro and armed with a 25 mm cannon. These types of vehicles are currently in services with the Italian army.
