Russia would have delivered advanced Iskander SS-26 Stone surface-to-surface missile to Syria. | |||
According
to a source from the web site of Iran & International News Online,
HAMSAYEH, Russia has delivered advanced Iskander
missiles (NATO code SS-26 Stone) to Syria, which are now
fully operational. |

The Iskander (NATO Code SS-26 Stone) is a Russian-made surface-to-surface missile system able to carry conventional or Nuclear/Chemical warheads and a maximum range of 400 km. |

NATO has recently agreed to the Ankara's request to deploy Patriot missiles along the Turkish borders with Syria under the pretext of protecting Turkey against possible aggression from Syria. Russia dismissed
such move, and reports say Moscow is likely to provide Syria with Iskander
Missiles in the face of the US Patriots. It is unknown
how many of these missiles have been delivered. |
