The idea of this new weapon is to provide a new assault rifle able to be used for urban and special combat in closed combat conditions and complex environments. The new 5.56mm caliber Multi-Utilization Special Rifle has a muzzle that can be adjusted to fire 7.62mm bullets to function like the T91 assault rifle and M60 machine gun on the battlefield. A Picatinny rail is mounted on the top of the weapon which makes possible the attachment of Flash Light, Lazer Aim Indicator, Front Hand Grip, Bipod, etc. The 5.56mm Multi-utilization Special rifle is a gas-operated weapon which has a maximum firing rate of 550 - 700 rds/min. The trigger unit with ambidextrous safety-fire mode selectors allows firing for single shots and full automatic fire. The rear side of the weapon is fitted with a folding buttstock. The weapon is available in long and short-barreled versions. According to the engineers of Armaments Bureau's 202nd Arsenal, the new assault rifle has already passed its first qualifications tests. |
