Tawazun presents the NIMR 4x4 Internal Security vehicle and NIMR 6x6 APC at LAAD 2013.
Tawazun – the strategic investment firm focused on the long-term development of UAE’s industrial manufacturing with a specific focus on the defense sector – took part for the first time in the 19th LAAD Defence & Security – Defence and Security International Exhibition – a leading exhibition for the sector in Latin America and the world. At LAAD 2013, Tawazun presents for the first time, the NIMR a 4x4 light tactical vehicle in armoured personnel carrier and internal security variant.
     
The Nimr internal Security Vehicle - 4X4 is a fast deployment riot control troop carrier. The vehicle is designed for use over all types of roads as well as in all weather conditions. Designed to carry up to 8 equipped troops,the 6 back seats are facing to the outside.

Knowledge transfer with a specific focus on defense manufacturing technology remains a vital spoke in the wheels of Tawazun.

The Nimr internal Security Vehicle - 4X4 is a fast deployment riot control troop carrier. The vehicle is designed for use over all types of roads as well as in all weather conditions. Designed to carry up to 8 equipped troops,the 6 back seats are facing to the outside.

The vehicle is fully air transportable. The vehicle is armor protected as per customer requirements. The vehicle is powered by a water cooled turbocharged diesel engine. The vehicle has independent suspension, four wheel air over hydraulic service brakes and parking brake are standard. The vehicle is available with optional equipment and standard features such as central tire inflation system, run flat, winch, and three air conditioning units.

The vehicle is provided by 10 gun ports, escape hatches,front dozer, water cannon ,and smoke grenade launchers. The vehicle is equipped with day and night cameras plus a situation awareness system in addition to rear view camera. The vehicle is equipped with loud speaker and the laser dazzler. The cabin is protected with overpressure system and the vehicle is equipped with fire suppression system for cabin and engine. Windshield and side windows are protected by screen mesh and provided wipers for side windows. All doors are provided with combat locks The vehicle is coated with fire retardant coating.
     
Designed to provide maximum operational flexibility and protection, the Nimr Armored Personnel Carrier is a long range 6x6 vehicle. With a capacity to transport up to 10 soldiers, the vehicle can additionally be fitted with remotely operated weapon and communication systems.

Designed to provide maximum operational flexibility and protection, the Nimr Armored Personnel Carrier is a long range 6x6 vehicle. With a capacity to transport up to 10 soldiers, the vehicle can additionally be fitted with remotely operated weapon and communication systems. The vehicle is fully armored to provide mine and ballistic protection as per customer requirements with optional add on panel protection kit for additional protection, and is able to withstand ballistic threats (hostile fire) as well as land mine and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attacks by means of specially designed add-on armor and land mine protection technology.

The vehicle provides this protection without compromising ergonomic conditions. Stowage within the vehicle is designed in such a way that a blast impact will not cause equipment to fly loose, which might cause injury or death. The vehicle has payload of 1.8 tones, and with a range of available features and options, it provides the customer a high level of flexibility to customize the vehicle to meet any specific requirement. The Nimr 6x6 shall be capable of operating in temperatures ranging between -30°C and +55°C. All equipment are stored and mounted and are easily accessible and visible to the operating crew.
