This small but very useful vehicle was designed to be used by special forces, being able to carry heavy equipment and personnel. It is currently being used in combat operations in Central Africa, as well as by military forces in every part of the world. During the dynamic demonstration at Eurosatory 2014, ARGO is being presented with the TALON gyro-stabilized platform for light weapons and with an acoustic detection system. The scenario that was presented was developed around the ambush that the crew had fallen into. With the start of firing the soldiers jumped out of the ARGOS and using its systems, they traced the source of the threat and returned fire through the remotely controlled weapon system. The vehicle’s weight can range from 521 to 1000 kg, depending on the configuration, while it can tow an extra weight of 800 to 1000 kg. Further to that, the speed can vary from 27 to 45 km/h, with an autonomy between 8 to 10 hours. |
