Thales presented a demanding demonstration with the vehicle passing all the challenges, including the one simulating a rocky terrain, giving a glimpse of what it was designed for.

Hawkei is a seven-tonne protected, highly mobile and modular vehicle, that delivers unparalleled survivability. As the Thales Hawkei Team has mentioned to the Army Recognition team, the armour can be detached or deployed in the field, in 30 minutes, depending on the operational conditions, providing remarkable flexibility.

It has a length of 5.8m, a width of 2.4m and an overall height of 2.3m. All of the four versions can be configured with either four or two doors with a tray. The total number of people that can be carried is six. Its 3.2L turbocharged Steyr engine offers a maximum speed of 130 km/hr. Hawkei can be transformed into a weapons platform with the integration of a remote overhead or weapon mounts for light or heavy machine guns or even antitank missiles.
