Elbit Systems contract to supply upgraded armoured personnel carrier to Philippines Armed Forces.
Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: ESLT) ("Elbit Systems") announced that it was awarded a contract, valued at approximately $20 million, for the supply of upgraded armoured personnel carriers (APCs) to the Philippines Armed Forces.
     
Elbit Systems Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: ESLT) ("Elbit Systems") announced today that it was awarded a contract, valued at approximately $20 million, for the supply of upgraded armoured personnel carriers (APCs) to the Philippines Armed Forces.
Army of Philippines has already upgraded some M113 tracked armoured personnel carrier.
     
The upgrade will include 25 mm unmanned turrets, 12.7 mm remote controlled weapon stations (RCWS) and fire control systems (FCS) for 90 mm turrets. The APCs will be supplied over a one-year period.

The contract marks a significant breakthrough for Elbit Systems, as it is the first one awarded to the company in the Philippines.
