New Gurza 2 light patrol vehicle with SARP Stabilized Advanced Remote weapon Platform at ADEX.
The new version of local-made light intelligence tactical patrol vehicle Gurza 2 was unveiled for the first time to the public at ADEX 2014, International Defense Industry Exhibition in Baku, Azerbaiajan. As the first version of Gurza patrol vehicle, the new version is also based on Toyota Hilux 12 double cab pickup chassis equipped with 4x4 all-wheel drive and a maximum payload of 2,500 kg.

As the first version of Gurza patrol vehicle, the new version is also based on Toyota Hilux 12 double cab pickup chassis equipped with 4x4 all-wheel drive and a maximum payload of 2,500 kg.

To increase the protection of the crew, the vehicle is fitted roll-bar protection all-around the cabin. The roll-bar is a specially engineered and constructed around the passenger compartment of a vehicle to protect its occupants from being injured in an accident, particularly in the event of a roll-over.

The Gurza 2 is motorized with D-4D 114 P.S. Diesel Engine which able the vehicle to run at a maximum road speed of 160 km/h. Each side of the vehicle are fitted with two single doors but the windows are removed for security reasons. The front of the vehicle is equipped with a large wide screen.

The Gurza 2 can carry a total of four soldiers including driver and commander. A 7.62mm PKM machine mounted on a swivel station is mounted on each side of the vehicle, one located at the right front for the commander and one at the left rear door.

At ADEX 2014, the Gurza 2 was also equipped with the SARP, Stabilized Advanced Remote weapon Platform which can be armed with a 7.62mm or 12.7mm machine gun according the operational requirements. The machine gun can be also replaced by a 40mm automatic grenade launcher.

The SARP remotely weapon station is equipped with day/night imaging sight system with ability to fire on the move. The turret integrates also automatic target tracking system and laser range finder to increase the accuracy of the weapon. The turret is able to rotate 360° and -30° to +60° in elevation.

Standard equipment of the Gurza 2 includes Recaro seats, additional water and fuel cans, 2 fire-extinguishers and additional halogen lights mounted on the crew cabin. A self-recovery winch capable of up to 5,000 kg is mounted at the front of the vehicle.

At ADEX 2014, the Gurza 2 was fitted with the SARP Stabilized Advanced Remote weapon System.
