At MSPO 2017, General Dynamics european Land Systems exhibits the ASCOD armored tracked vehicle in its IFV variant. The ASCOD familly of vehicle is the perfect answer to the changing tactical challenges of present and future battlefield.

Survivability, mobility and reliability are the main features of this modular medium-weight armored vehicle. Ready for decisive action in any theatre of operation as part of heavy armored units and with different roles. Airborne capable, ready for prompt operation and highly reliable, this is the advanced, versatile result of extensive research into the requirments of the 21st century. ASCOD stands for speed, optimal protection and immediate performance day and night regardless of weather conditions. It is net-enabled and supports any state-of-the-art Command and Control architecture. Worldwide ILS and easy maintenance marks all variants of the ASCOD.

The first version of the vehicle entered service in Austria under the name of Ulan and in Spain under the name of Pizarro. The latest variant of the ASCOD was selected in September 2014 by the British army to replace the old CVRT family under the name of Scout SV
