Bangladesh Army RFP to acquire new 4x4 armoured vehicles.
On November 6, 2017, the Bangladesh Directorate General Defence Purchase (DGDP) released a Request-For-Proposal (RFP) to acquire new 4x4 armoured vehicles in different types of configuration as light armoured vehicle (LAV), Command Post, ambulance and reconnaissance and surveillance.

According to the Official RFP, the technical requirements of Bangladesh Army for the new 4×4 that the vehicle can operate in temperature conditions in-excess of 50 °C. It will have a cruising range of over 500 km, with a road speed of 80 km/h and over 25 km/h in off-road conditions. It must also have a power-to-weight ratio of over 20 hp/ton.
The hull of the vehicle will provide a minimum ballistic protection of STANAG-4569 Level 2, and STANAG-4560 Level 2a for the mine protection.
In July 2017, website of the National Industrial Portal of the Ukrainian Industry, has released a statement regarding a contract for the delivery of 600 Tur-K2 and 80 Tur-K3 4x4 Ukrainian-made armoured vehicles via the Turkish Company Delta Defense to the Bangladesh armed forces.
According to the Turkish Website C4 Defence, the Turkish Company Delta Defense will delivered 100 Tur-K2 to the Bangladesh armed forces in 2018, 150 in 2019 and a total of 600 vehicles in the next five years.
Currently the Bangladesh army uses three types of wheeled armoured vehicles, the Russian-made BTR-80A, the Otokar Cobra from Turkey and the Serbian-made BOV M11 used as reconnaissance vehicle.
