The motorcycle is designed for search-and-reconnaissance missions in a rugged terrain. It is nearly silent as a traditional combustion engine has been replaced by an electric drive. The motorbike is fitted with a folding cargo platform, a stowage for an assault rifle and MOLLE-compatible outer covers that are fitted with pouches for ammunition, individual equipment, food and water, etc. Its frontal part is fitted with a headlight that can be replaced by an infrared lamp and a Velcro panel for patches.
According to the Kalashnikov Group, the motorcycle can run at a maximum speed of 80 km/h with a cruising range of 100 km and a crew of one soldier. The company has also developed a modification of the motorbike for police units. It features the MOLLE covers removed and a white-and-blue painting scheme. Kalashnikov says that the electric motorcycle has already passed its first trials. At the Army-2017, Kalashnikov demonstrated a wide range of electric motorcycles for civilian use, militaries and law enforcement agencies. The low-noise electric drive does not unveil the position of an operator providing him with a chance to conduct silent hit-and-run raids. Its layout allows transporting of a soldier with personal weapons and individual equipment. The company has also demonstrated a concept of a heavy motorcycle with a combustion engine. |
