For the first time the anti-aircraft missile regiment was delivered in full strength (three S-400 Triumph divisions, regimental set of combat and specialized hardware) from the permanent deployment base to the firing range. Specific attention was paid to complying with the norms for redeploying the personnel and hardware by rail to the point of destination which demanded five trains that covered a distance of 2 thousand kilometers to bring the regiment from Moscow region to Ashuluk range.

During the exercise the air and missile defense regiment of the Aerospace Forces successfully detected and repelled a massive air and missile strike of the conditional adversary and destroyed with high precision 10 Pishchal, Dan-M and other missile targets simulating ballistic and tactical weapons of the conditional adversary, it said.

Combat units of the S-400 regiment made over ten simulated electronic launches at real air targets performed by MiG-29SMT fighter jets which attacked the protected area at different altitudes and speed. After technical maintenance of the hardware the S-400 regiment went on combat duty to defend Moscow and the Central Industrial District.
