One of the latest innovation at the SOFINS 2017, the Special Operations Forces Innovation Network Seminar Exhibition, is the tactile communication wristband Feeltact designed by the French Company Novitact which allows Special Forces soldiers to communicate simple information by vibrations without talking, writing or reading a screen.

The Feeltact is a connected wristband using a patented revolutionary technology. It serves to alert and communicate in silence, in any situation, over unlimited distances.
A connected wristband, Feeltact allows transmitting up to four different messages by simply pressing buttons, and receive transmissions in the form of vibrations around the wrist. Like enhanced touch Morse code, each user group (intervention group, undercover agents, special forces, etc.) can intuitively create their own touch vocabulary and communicate discreetly and simply. The Feeltact can be connected via Bluetooth to a Smartphone to create your own communications with Feeltact mobile application. A secure communication servers can manage the exchanges of messages. A combat group can created its own enriched tactile messages using vibration codes to communicate easily. In addition to vibration communication, it can also use color codes. The Feeltact wristband is shock proof, water resistant and nonetheless discreet, while integrating last generation technologies of communication. The Feeltact wristband also includes geolocation to removably secure the monitoring apparatus to a person or to identify its position.
