The SPSS-1000 (Saker Portable surveillance System) is a short range, portable, versatile FMCW based locator system, capable of locating any target moving on the ground, near to ground or in the air, detecting distance, direction, and velocity of the object. It is capable of observing borders, cvil or military areas or buildings. The Saker radar family consists of products which are the resuslts of multidirectional and multipurpose development. The various products are mmodified for their intended use, and they are grouped according to distinguishing type designations, thus are the products identifiable. Type designation of the current radar product is: SAKER-1. This product was developed for the protection of borders or other areas partially demarcated by fences.
The surveillance system is based on FMCW theory, hence it is applicable to detect targets from large distance with relatively small output power (1W) and consumption, with the option of impulse mode transmitter (10W). The low weight and mechanic construction facilitate the transportation and decrease the setup time of the unit. It could be used within specific environment including rain, fog, haze, wind or snow even in between extreme values of temperature , -20°C to +45°C and 80% humidity, due to its structure. All metallic parts have anti-corrosive and antitrust protection, made of aluminum and steel without reflecting light. The MTBF of the radar is at least 2000 hours with the option of 24 hours/day continuous operation. The system is based on modules and boards developped and manufactured by Mil-Exim- teletechnika Consortium, any parts and board are are changeable, resulting in an adaptive and easy-to-use equipment. It has refined and highly optimal hardware configuration with the option of upgrades and enhancement of software. |
